They are here! 11,000 copies of Transition Free Press are presently in transition – waiting in their East Anglian stronghold (aka our living room) and ready to go out to 40 distributing hubs all round the UK this week.
Meanwhile we’ve been collating local news for our Sustainable Bungay newsletter and road-testing the new tabloid layout to be distributed alongside this sparkling new 24-page national edition.
Hot stories for this quarter are the Pig Club, Arts, Culture and Well-being, and the new Natural Resources group (NR35) seen here in action stacking up winter fuel. We are hoping other Transition initiatives will also be issuing their local newsletters alongside the paper, and any suggestions for layouts will be happily shared by the TFP crew. Do get in touch with us if you need any. We’ll also be sending out a press release template for initiatives to send to their local and regional media outlets, devised by TFP news editor, Alexis Rowell.
This Friday 1 February is publication day! We will be sending out a link to our on-line Edition 1 with the Transition Network newsletter. If you would like to distribute copies in your own initiative in the future, do get in touch with distribution manager, Mark Watson firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll also be posting a list of our distribution hubs on this site this week, so you can see where your nearest initiative is and who to get in contact with.
