All systems go! Issue 1 is underway

We are delighted to announce that the Transition Free Press is going ahead !  This is our opportunity to ‘become the media’ and the TFP will represent a milestone for the developing transition movement in the UK.

So this is a big thank you to all the people and initiatives who have signed up to become part of our wonderful new distribution network (and those of you still deciding). Here’s to all Transitioners in:

Birmingham, Bristol, Bungay, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Dunbar, Durham, Exeter, Farnham, Formby, Haddenham, Lancaster, Leamington, Leicester, London ( Belsize, Brixton, Crouch End, Dartmouth Park, Finsbury Park, Kensal to Kilburn, Primrose Hill, Tooting,), Manchester, Oxford(shire), Southampton, Taunton and Totnes.

We are really looking forward to working with you next year!

Our next step is to launch our crowd-funding campaign to pay for printing and contributor costs. Keep an eye out for this exciting 3 month campaign with BuzzBnk, starting in mid-November. All contributions welcome.

Meanwhile we have already begun designing and commissioning the next issue which will come out on February 1 2013.. This month we will be road-testing the local news template, so if you are part of the network and would like to help with this do get in touch. We are also open to the following:
